Decorate Pumpkins! - hosted by Market Staff

Garden Area at the Market

October 30, 2025

Calling ghosties and goblins of all ages to enjoy some good old-fashioned pumpkin decorating! Don’t worry parents: zero blades involved! We’ll provide the pumpkins and paints: you provide the artistic genius!

Join market staff near our garden area to breathe life into one of our available pumpkins (thanks Maisy Moon!) and then take your new pumpkin friend home! If you’d like, snap a photo of your finished pumpkin and send it to info@olympiafarmersmarket.com or tag us @olympiafarmersmarket; we’ll be sharing everyone’s creations on Halloween the next day!

Olympia: Chanterelle Country! Hosted by Chef Janna of Mothers Roots

the Garden Area at Olympia Farmers Market

November 2, 2025

Join chef, forager, and founder of Mothers Roots Janna on Sunday, November 2nd from 12-1 for an interactive mushroom workshop!

We are blessed in the Pacific Northwest with an abundance of one of our planet's most fascinating and powerful lifeforms: the mushroom. These fruits of the forest inspire so much more than culinary curiosity...but boy do they inspire an abundance of that as well!

Enjoy mushroom-focused tastes cooked fresh on-site and learn crucial tips and tricks for identification and safe foraging! Whether you are a versed mycologist or simply mushroom-curious, we think this workshop will "cap"-tivate you!
