Olympia Farmers Market Returns to "High Season" Schedule with More Vendors and Special Senior Day Discounts

The Olympia Farmers Market is gearing up for an exciting start to the growing season, with the return of its "High Season" schedule beginning on Saturday, April 1. The Market will be open Thursday through Sunday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, offering customers more opportunities to shop for fresh, local produce, artisanal food, handmade crafts, and more.

On April 1, the Market will welcome representative students from Yelm High School's Future Farmers of America program to ring the opening day bell! Yelm High School hosts one of the largest FFA chapters in Washington, with over 100 participating students. FFA aims to promote the importance of agriculture, premier leadership, personal growth, and career success for students. We are excited to welcome the students to the Market for opening day!

On Thursday, April 6, Friends of the Olympia Farmers Market will ring the opening bell at 10 am, followed by a performance by Oly Samba. Shoppers can also enter the Market’s free Thursday raffle to win a basket with products from Market vendors.

"We're thrilled to be back in full swing for the growing season," said Wren Green, General Manager of the Olympia Farmers Market. "Our vendors have been working hard all winter to prepare for this moment, and we can't wait to showcase their incredible offerings to our community."

In addition to the expanded schedule, the Market will offer Senior Day on Thursdays, with special discounts for those 55 and better. "We know that our senior customers are some of our most loyal supporters, and we want to thank them for their continued patronage," added Nora Hantula, Assistant Manager.

The Olympia Farmers Market has been open on Saturdays throughout the winter—April marks the official start of the growing season and the arrival of even more vendors offering fresh, Washington-grown fruits and vegetables, artisanal food, and handmade crafts. Whether customers are stocking up on ingredients for their next home-cooked meal or looking for a unique gift, the Market has something for everyone.
