The Market board and staff continue to monitor the advancing COVID-19 health crisis closely, seeking guidance from our partners at Thurston County Public Health and Social Services and the Washington State Farmers Market Association. Governor Inslee has specifically named Farmers Markets as part of essential businesses that can stay open during the current restrictions.
We believe the availability of local foods is key to a healthy community and that the market is an important platform for our farmers, processors and other small businesses to sell directly to that community. Our market has the advantage of being in an open-air building with excellent airflow and on-site restroom facilities.
