Fee & Membership Guidelines for the Olympia Farmers Market
Vendor Membership is limited to individuals or single-family units producing products in
the following categories only.
Farmer - Farmers are persons who raise produce (fruit, vegetables, herbs, flowers, or
nursery crops from seeds or plants, and care for, cultivate, and harvest the crops
offered for sale. No finished products may be bought and resold.
Processor - Processors are persons offering fresh food products such as meat, fish, or
baked goods that they have processed, creating and adding value to their product
being offer for sale.
Crafter - Crafters are persons who craft, with their own hands, the products they offer
for sale.
The Market has county boundaries which consist of Thurston, Lewis, Mason, and Grays
Harbor East of the Wynoochee River; You must live and produce your product within
one of these county boundaries. No finished products may be bought and resold.
To assure quality and to avoid duplication of existing items, crafters must go through a
jury process which will include committee approval prior to acceptance. Also, to ensure
a dynamic market balance, farmers must also make application by the deadline and are
accepted only by committee approval.
All vendors are inspected prior to selling at the Market.
With the exception of Crafters & Farmers, all other categories are under contract and
must be here to sell every day the Market is open.
If you are accepted, you will be on "Roll call"; this means that you will not necessarily
have the same stall every week.
Applications are taken prior to the start of each season; January 1 - February 10th
for selling that same season.
Every category is not necessarily open each season for new members.
All vendors pay an annual membership fee of $100.00 if accepted as a member
All vendors pay a percentage of their daily gross sales or a minimum daily fee
whichever is greater
fee of $7.00 on Thursday/Friday; $15.00 on Saturday/Sunday
Farmers/Crafters/Farmer-Processors/Processors I/Food Carts - 7%
Processors II - 8%
Crafter II/Farmer II/Food Concessionaires - 9%
Fruit Vendors - 10%
